Great to meet you!

If healing had a shape in your life, how would you know you were living from a place of healing rather than survival?

I’m Leah Perkins, LPC, QMHP‐C, and I support people as they move through trauma, emotional pain, and the tender work of life transitions. My path has taken me through community mental health, residential care, and developmental support services, and each setting has deepened my respect for the courage it takes to seek help and let someone in.

My training in EMDR, CBT, DBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, and Yoga for PTSD gives me a wide range of tools, but the heart of the work is always you—your story, your pace, and what feels safe and meaningful in the room. Together, we navigate assessments, crisis moments, safety planning, and skill‐building in ways that honor your strengths and the wisdom you already carry.

At the center of my practice is a commitment to ethical, person‐centered care rooted in collaboration, clarity, and genuine respect for who you are and who you’re becoming.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, trauma‐informed, and centered on meeting you exactly where you are. I believe that meaningful change grows from a foundation of safety, trust, and genuine connection, so I work to create a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment or pressure. I integrate evidence‐based practices to support emotional regulation, insight, and resilience. My work is guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect for your lived experience, with the goal of helping you build clarity, strengthen your internal resources, and move toward the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

Building strong therapeutic rapport is central to my work. I believe healing happens in the context of a safe, trusting relationship, and I prioritize creating an environment where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I approach each session with genuine curiosity, respect, and openness, allowing space for your story to unfold at your pace. Through consistent attunement, clear communication, and a non‐judgmental presence, I work to build a collaborative partnership where you can explore challenges, develop insight, and move toward meaningful change.
