Great to meet you!

I’m Leah Young‐Price, MA, LCPC, NCC, CCMHC (she/her).

Starting therapy is a big step, and you deserve a calm, nonjudgmental space to feel heard and supported. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I hold Master’s degrees in Professional Counseling and Urban Education Guidance and Counseling, and I’m licensed in both Virginia and Maryland. I offer virtual therapy, making it easier to access support from wherever you are.

Throughout my career, I’ve supported clients ages 8 to 75 in a variety of settings, providing both individual and family counseling. For more than 15 years, I’ve also worked extensively with at‐risk youth involved in the juvenile justice system in Virginia, partnering with young people and their families through complex behavioral, emotional, and life challenges.

I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self‐esteem, mood disorders, peer relationship issues, anger management concerns, behavioral challenges, and family conflict. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, feeling overwhelmed by emotions, or seeking personal growth, we’ll focus on practical strategies and healthy coping skills to help you move toward greater balance and emotional wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy: My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and guided by a client‐centered, collaborative style.

That means we will:

  • Focus on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors; Identify practical tools you can use in your everyday life, and build on your existing strengths, values, and resilience.

I believe every individual has unique strengths, and we will use those as a foundation to overcome obstacles, improve emotional well-being, and move toward your personal goals.

What you can expect from me

What you can expect from me in our sessions: you can expect a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly without judgment.

  • Clear, down‐to‐earth guidance and strategies you can put into practice
  • Consistent encouragement, accountability, and collaboration

We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable for you, checking in regularly about what’s helpful and what you’d like to focus on next. If you’re ready to take the next step toward greater balance, emotional wellness, and a more fulfilling life, I’d be honored to partner with you. When you’re ready, you can reach out to schedule a virtual session, and we’ll get started together.
