Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Leahmon. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adults. My clinical experience includes supporting veterans, which is work I feel deeply honored to do, as well as working with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, ADD and ADHD, trauma, stress, and women’s mental health concerns. I believe in treating the whole person, building genuine partnerships, and making sure every client feels heard, valued, and actively involved in their own care.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and adapted to the individual or couple in front of me. I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Modification Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create practical change in daily life. For couples, I use Solution Focused Couples Therapy to help partners identify what is already working, clarify shared goals, and build strategies for a stronger relationship. What makes my practice distinctive is that I offer both individual and couples therapy, which is relatively uncommon for a psychiatric nurse practitioner and can be especially meaningful when relationship challenges and individual mental health concerns are closely connected. When appropriate, I also integrate medication management into care, discuss it transparently, and treat it as one tool among many rather than the default solution.

What you can expect from me

Your first sessions with me will feel welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free. I will take time to understand your mental health history, current challenges, past treatment experiences, lifestyle factors, and the goals you hope to reach through care so I can get to know you as a whole person. Together, we will begin identifying clear and realistic next steps, whether that means easing symptoms, improving day-to-day functioning, strengthening coping skills, or exploring treatment options that feel right for you. By the end of our early work together, I want you to feel more understood, more grounded, and reassured that you have a thoughtful partner in your care.

If you are ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you with care that feels personal, practical, and grounded in what matters most to you.
