Great to meet you!

I am licensed to provide clinical social work, counseling and therapy in California, Oregon and Washington, with 30 years of professional work experience. In my private practice, I have experience in helping clients with depression, stress, anxiety, LGBTQ+ related issues, grief, loss, and end of life/hospice care.

I have had the opportunity to work in all hospital departments, including ER, Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Neo-natal intensive care, Intensive Care and Cardiology/Pulmonology, Home Health and Hospice care.

I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will encourage and support our dialog and treatment plan(s) to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey, with compassion, and patience in a judgment free environment.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me and my career experiences.

My approach to therapy

The one constant for all of us seeking counseling/therapy is that we have "lost" something or someone in our lives. It may be that a loved one has died, or is critically ill. It may be the loss of a specific activity due to illness or resulting from an accident. It may be the loss of closeness with a partner or with a spiritual entity. It may be the loss of employment. All of this is to say that each and every one of us is an individual and brings to counseling their unique "loss."

What you can expect from me

I am a highly skilled listener, using compassion and patience to understand your specific needs. I will ask questions when I don't understand something you have said or when I want to assure my perceptions align with yours. Everyone wants to be heard and valued for who they are without judgment or criticism. I will provide a safe space to hear your thoughts.
