Great to meet you!

My name is Leo Altidor and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who received my MS in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. As a therapist, I specialize in working with emerging adults (ages 18–35+) navigating challenges such as substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and ADHD. My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely seen and supported—one that balances emotional safety with practical growth.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. In our initial sessions, we’ll take the time to explore your story from your perspective. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to bring my mental health expertise into our partnership to help you identify and achieve the goals that matter most to you.

Building trust is central to our work together. Early sessions focus on rapport and connection, laying the groundwork for a strong therapeutic relationship. At the same time, we’ll begin exploring effective coping strategies that can help ease some of the immediate challenges you may be facing.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a judgment-free space where you won’t feel talked down to or “diagnosed at.” My approach is grounded in mutual respect, empathy, and honest collaboration. I’m here to walk alongside you—not ahead of you.

I’m passionate about this work because too many people are taught to suffer in silence. You don’t have to do it alone. Everyone deserves a safe place to process, heal, and grow—and I’m honored to offer that space to my clients.
