Great to meet you!

Since I was a high schooler in Washington, DC I knew I wanted to be a therapist. Learning about peer mediation at that time inspired me to learn more about how to best support healthy relationships and community wellness. I began my studies in psychology at Vassar College and completed my master's training at The Johns Hopkins University School of Education in 2016. Since that time I've worked in community mental health settings as a licensed professional counselor providing individual and group therapy to children, adults and families. My training has focused on trauma-informed approaches in treating ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders and anxiety.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered and tailored to meet the goals you identify. I believe my clients have the power to heal from trauma and achieve their wellness goals. I am trained in research supported therapeutic modalities and approaches such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT), and internal family systems (IFS). We collaborate on finding what fits best for you to achieve your wellness goals.

What you can expect from me

When my clients finish their sessions they often share feeling more hopeful and encouraged than they did when they arrived. I take care in our first sessions to understand your challenges and goals and provide a supportive space for healing and growth.
