Great to meet you!

My personality style with my clients is warm, curious, and collaborative. I strive to create a therapeutic space where people feel safe to show up exactly as they are, without fear of judgement or pressure to be different than they are in the moment. I approach sessions with genuine curiosity about each person's lived experience, believing that every client is the expert on their own life. I have had twenty years of experience in the clinical setting and have enjoyed working with diverse populations in different settings, and all ages.

My approach to therapy

I tend to be empathetic, taking time to listen deeply and understand the emotional layers behind what someone is sharing. At the same time, I value being authentic and transparent, which helps build trust and strengthens the therapeutic relationship. I truly believe healing happens through connection, honesty and feeling truly seen. I work in collaborative and empowering ways. Rather than positioning myself as someone who has the answers, I view therapy as a partnership where we explore patterns, strengths, and possibilities together. My goal is to support clients in developing insight, and confidence in their own ability to navigate challenges.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect their first session to be welcoming, with supportive conversation focused on getting to know one another. During this initial meeting, I will typically ask questions about what brings them to therapy, their goals, and any challenges they are currently facing. This helps me better understand their experiences and how I can best support them. It is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions about the therapy process and share anything they feel comfortable discussing. There is no expectation to share everything right away, we move at a pace that feels safe and respectful for each person. I also use this time to explain confidentiality, the structure of sessions, and what clients can expect as we begin working together. My goal is to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, seen and supported as we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I tend to sneak in some humor now and then, who doesn't like a good laugh!
