Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am so glad you are here. As a counselor in North Carolina with a background in education and intercultural competence, I am deeply committed to creating a warm, inclusive space where your unique story is honored. My practice is grounded in cultural humility and active LGBTQIA+ allyship, ensuring that you feel safe, seen, and deeply respected just as you are. I specialize in helping adults navigate the complexities of bicultural identity, generational challenges, immigration stress, and childhood trauma. Whether we connect in English or Mandarin, my goal is to walk alongside you as you discover your authentic voice and a true sense of belonging.

My approach to therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative partnership where we slow down together to explore both your inner world and how you interact with the world around you. My approach is gentle and relational, blending Person-Centered and Existential roots to help you discover deeper meaning, purpose, and long-term healing. I believe that multiple truths can exist within you, which is why I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you embrace and heal all the different parts of who you are. I am also trained to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to gently process trauma, helping you release past hurts so you can step confidently into your present.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, safe, and completely non-judgmental environment where you can arrive exactly as you are. There is no pressure to dive into deep trauma right away; instead, our primary goal is to build trust and get to know each other at a pace that feels entirely comfortable to you. Together, we will explore your story, look at how your environment impacts your well-being, and begin mapping out your hopes for healing. My hope is that you leave our first conversation feeling heard, respected, and clear on our collaborative next steps.
