I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to guide much of my work with clients. Through this, we get clear on what is important to you, and begin to find ways to support you in making values-based decisions. Our path toward your goals is steeped in a strengths-based, compassion-focused, and humanistic lens, so that you are confident in the driver's seat of your healing journey.
I work with clients who are looking to actively participate in their change process. Typically, clients come to me when they feel stuck in life and are looking for help "getting back on track." My areas of specialty are in treating folks who are looking for help with the following: life transitions, anxiety, depression, improving/deepening relationships, developing a spiritual practice, recovery support, and increasing self-confidence.
My approach to counseling is trauma-informed, humanistic and integrative in nature, while also playful and engaging. I regularly bring in humor, curiosity, and unique metaphors to help clients let go of limiting beliefs, and make sustainable changes. I ask clients for a willingness to be open and work hard in sessions. This is what enlivens the counseling experience, and brings results!
