Great to meet you!

I am an elder-millennial in the "sandwich generation" navigating roles of mother, daughter to aging and ill parents, and co-parent to two kiddos. My masters is from Lewis & Clark College and have been in private practice for the past few years. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which draws from attachment theory and I use techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help individuals communicate with their many internal parts.

My approach to therapy

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to help individuals and couples understand their emotional and relational triggers. We use that awareness and insight to build empathy for ourselves and our partners. When we are working from a place of empathy and compassion we have the safety to experiment with experiences that have been too charged in the past. We can learn to trust new ways of interacting.

What you can expect from me

A first session with me includes learning what brings you to therapy through questions and answers. We will start learning about your history, what makes you feel, think, and react the way you do, and what areas of change you want to realize through therapy.
