Great to meet you!

If you're carrying anxiety, grief, past trauma, or a complicated relationship with substances, and you're not sure where to start, you've found the right place. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors through depression, family conflict, PTSD, domestic violence, and stress that never seems to let up. My path into counseling started in Wayne County schools, working with young people who needed someone genuinely in their corner. That experience planted something I've carried through every role since: people don't need to have it figured out before they ask for help. I went on to work in higher education and community mental health, and I'm especially committed to clients who haven't always felt welcomed or seen in traditional mental health spaces.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and built around you. I draw from CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and I tailor the work to what you actually need. At the core is a belief that you're the expert on your own life. My job is to help you reconnect with your strengths and build tools you can use in your daily life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about getting comfortable, not running through a checklist. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you're hoping for, and what's been getting in the way. You don't need a clear goal yet. By the end, we'll have a shared sense of direction together, and most people leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.
