Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome. My name is Lina Roe and I have over 30 years of experience in the field of social work, helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, understanding, and respect. I have been a licensed therapist in North Carolina for the past 3 years.

I believe that every person deserves to be heard, valued, and supported. My approach is compassionate, open-minded, and nonjudgmental, creating a safe space where you can openly share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I strive to meet you where you are, offering empathy, validation, encouragement, and practical tools to help you move toward your goals.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief, stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I am committed to walking alongside you on your journey. Together, we'll build on your strengths, explore solutions, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and finding the right therapist is an important part of that process. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and empowered as we work together to improve your well-being and create the life you want.

I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and resilience.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing happens in a space where you feel seen, safe, and genuinely understood. My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration — we move at your pace, honoring your story and your strengths. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you; it’s about helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that have been overwhelmed, silenced, or pushed aside.

I work from a trauma‐informed lens, which means I pay close attention to your nervous system, your boundaries, and your sense of safety. Together, we create a space where you can explore difficult experiences without pressure or judgment. I bring warmth, steadiness, and curiosity into every session, so you never have to face the hard things alone.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. You can expect a warm, welcoming space where you can share what’s been going on in your life at whatever pace feels right for you. I’ll listen closely as you tell your story, gently helping you clarify what’s been weighing on you and what you hope will feel different moving forward.

As we talk, we’ll begin shaping a few initial goals—simple, realistic starting points that give us direction without pressure. I’ll also explain how our work together will look, so you know what to expect and feel grounded in the process. By the end of the session, my hope is that you leave feeling heard, a little lighter, and with a clear sense of where we’ll go next. I will answer any questions that you may have for me. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and at ease.
