Great to meet you!

I’ve been providing outpatient therapy in Wilmington, NC for over 20 years, supporting children, teens, adults, couples, and families through many different seasons of life. People often come to me when they’re feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, grief, or stress, and are ready for something to change but aren’t sure where to start. My style is warm, down‐to‐earth, and non‐judgmental. I want you to feel safe, respected, and heard, and I’ll always move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is empowering and solution‐focused. Together, we’ll identify what’s not working, clarify your goals, and build on the strengths you already have to create practical changes in your life. I work collaboratively, so therapy is something we do together—not something that’s “done to” you. Whether we’re addressing trauma, relationship or family issues, substance use, women’s issues, anger, or stress, I aim to make therapy feel approachable, supportive, and oriented toward real progress.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know you—what brings you in, what your day‐to‐day life looks like, and what you hope will feel different. I’ll ask some questions about your history, current concerns, and support system, and you’re always welcome to share only what feels comfortable. Together, we’ll start to outline a few initial goals and discuss how we might work toward them. You can expect a calm, non‐threatening space where you can ask questions, explore options, and leave with a sense of direction for our work going forward.
