Great to meet you!

With over 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric units, emergency departments, and intensive outpatient services. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina. My clinical experience includes working with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, adjustment difficulties, somatic symptoms, grief, and trauma.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate and collaborative, with an emphasis on helping you develop effective coping skills, process difficult experiences, and build greater emotional well-being. I recognize that each person’s experiences and needs are unique, and I strive to tailor treatment to your individual goals and circumstances. I have extensive experience helping individuals work through traumatic experiences and utilize evidence-based approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

What you can expect from me

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you have been carrying difficult experiences for a long time. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable working through life’s challenges. You do not have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Whether you are struggling with painful memories, overwhelming emotions, changes in your life, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can offer an opportunity for healing, growth, and renewed hope. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you as you move toward greater understanding, resilience, and a more fulfilling life.
