Great to meet you!

Welcome to Headway! I look forward to our working together. I began licensed therapy in 2009 after graduating from UNC at Charlotte with a masters degree in counseling. I earned a BA degree in Psychology from Fairfield University in Fairfield Connecticut. My experience includes veterans, teens, young and older adults. I have worked in hospitals, jails, in the community, and offices. I have learned a great deal about people in each of these venues.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with the belief that clients know themselves better than anyone. My hope is that you feel comfortable with me and will recognize your progress. I choose the "best fit" to help which depends on the individual and the therapy that could bring the most insight. At times using different approaches brings about better insights, and resolution. We can talk more fully about this when e meet.

What you can expect from me

During our sessions, we will set goals together knowing we can always redefine goals as your therapy progresses. I prefer an environment that is open and genuine. I will be open and honest with you and encourage you to trust me. My clients have shared with me that they have felt more calm after their first session, that they felt good about themselves for taking the first step to change, and began to recognize their progress.
