Great to meet you!

My work in the mental health field started more than 20 years ago when I provided crisis support to first responders and the people they served. My clinical training started with educational psychology and over the years my focus shifted to working with adults and couples as I pursued my doctorate in clinal psychology. The focus of my practice has always been on providing trauma informed care to individuals who seek to address the impact of life stressors or traumatic events to better understand themselves and their patterns of relating to others.

My approach to therapy

I create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can build resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I prioritize helping clients identify and overcome barriers to change while acknowledging and celebrating growth. My therapeutic approach is integrative, and I draw from various evidence-based approaches and interventions informed by several theoretical approaches such as attachment and interpersonal theory. I am trained in EMDR, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

What you can expect from me

Treatment is tailored to each person or couple, building on existing strengths to support growth and achieve meaningful goals. In our initial meeting, we will identify possible treatment goals and see whether my style and expertise are a good match for your needs and goals. I take care to provide a therapeutic environment that feels supportive, where clients feel deeply understood, genuinely empowered, and one they enjoy returning to.
