Great to meet you!

You are more than the challenges you have faced, and I believe healing should care for every part of who you are. I'm Lindsay, an LCPC in Maryland who believes lasting growth comes from caring for the whole person - heart, soul, mind, and body. I earned my Master's in Community Counseling from Regent University in 2005 and bring experience supporting individuals and families through trauma, abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, marital difficulties, stress, and major life transitions. My background includes hospital settings and working with children, parents, and foster families impacted by abuse and neglect. For nearly 7 years, I have focused on supporting adults through emotional challenges and couples navigating difficulties in marriage. As a wife and mother of four, I understand that life can be both beautiful and complicated. My goal is to provide a space where you feel understood, supported, and encouraged to grow into a healthier, more confident version of yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, holistic, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that meaningful change involves more than simply managing symptoms. I care about your emotional health, relationships, thoughts, beliefs, spiritual well-being, and even the ways rest, movement, and nourishment influence how you feel. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns, while incorporating Family Systems Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy to explore relationships, attachment, and communication. My Christian faith is an important foundation in my life and work, but I welcome women from all backgrounds and belief systems, always respecting your personal values. I believe change takes courage, effort, and sometimes a willingness to face uncomfortable truths. My style is compassionate and encouraging, but I am also willing to gently challenge you when it can help you grow. Above all, I want therapy to feel like a genuine partnership where you can become stronger, more resilient, and more authentically yourself.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I want to hear your story, understand what has brought you to therapy, and learn what you hope will be different in your life. I also believe the relationship between a counselor and client is one of the most important parts of successful therapy, so this is your opportunity to get to know me, ask questions, and see whether my approach feels like a good fit. There is no pressure to share everything right away or have all the answers figured out. My hope is that you leave our first meeting feeling comfortable, respected, and encouraged, knowing we can begin working together toward meaningful growth at a pace that feels right for you.
