Great to meet you!

I enjoy working with parents (of children of all ages) to foster and enrich the parent/child relationship. I also specialize in working with people navigating separation/divorce and co-parenting. I was born and raised on Maui, obtained a Social Work degree in '94 from Pacific University, and a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2015. Over the years I have worked for various family law attorneys, the Legal Aid Society, and the Maui Sexual Assault Center.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, with a focus on pattern recognition and pattern changing, especially as it relates to relationships. Exploring past relationships, challenges, patterns, reactions and seeing how we can use that information to address current challenges and stressors. I have extensive training and experience in trauma informed approaches.

What you can expect from me

In the first session you can tell me about what brings you to therapy, provide some background about yourself and/or your family, and I will provide information about the therapeutic process and answer any questions you may have.
