Great to meet you!

Lindsey Payton has been working in mental health since 2012. During her work in the therapeutic field, she has found her passion for helping those heal from traumatic events that impact how they view themselves or show up in their relationships. She enjoys working with those on a deeper personal level, as well as couples working through finding their connection.

My approach to therapy

I am a trained trauma and sex therapist who works with individuals (and couples) who find that their past experiences continue to prevent them from feeling confident, fulfilled or secure in their daily lives or relationships. After working for years in helping people heal from sexual trauma or abuse, I recognized there was a common theme of people not feeling secure, confident or connected in their romantic or sexual relationships due to past experiences. So I furthered my training with a two year sex therapy program to help bridge that next step for the people I work with.

I often work with people wanting to improve their self image, confidence, and resolve interpersonal conflicts from past trauma. Or couples who feel stuck in their relationship; as if they are not speaking the same language as their partner. I aim to help people to communicate their needs and feel secure in their individual selves and/or relationships.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a space where you feel seen, validated, and safe to be vulnerable. Whether you’re working through intimacy issues, past trauma, self-esteem struggles, or just finding it hard to communicate, I’ll meet you with compassion and honesty.
