Great to meet you!

My work as a therapist is deeply grounded in offering a counseling experience that allows you to feel empowered and safe. I’m licensed in SC, NC, a National Certified Counselor, and I have extensive experience working in the private sector, community mental health, colleges and military installations. As a woman with a multicultural and military family background, I understand the importance of inclusion and being an ally for individuals from various cultural and social backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

I have a broad range of clinical experience that includes working with those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, family and relationship concerns, trauma and grief. Like many modern therapists, I use a combination of therapeutic approaches to meet the needs of my clients, but primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Cognitive therapy helps people develop alternative ways of thinking and behaving to reduce their psychological and emotional distress.

What you can expect from me

We'll explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are problematic for you while connecting them to life events and your personal and professional relationships. I'll help you learn the process of being aware of your day-to-day thoughts and feelings. We'll explore your negative core beliefs, challenge those beliefs, and help you find ways to change negative emotions, thoughts and habits. I believe that with a heart-led and mind-driven approach, it’s possible to not only change, but thrive!
