Great to meet you!

Lisa received her MS in Addiction Studies/LCAS, Working at UNC in program where she worked as an Outpatient Therapist applying applications for Trauma Based clients, specifically women that were pregnant and/or with children managing addiction.

Lisa is a Yoga Instructor & Mindfulness Based Instructor. Lisa uses mindfulness/wellness approaches along with other modalities to work with client's to rely on their inner resources, become connected to their bodies, and begin living self-aware lives.

My approach to therapy

Uncovering the root begins with taking a deep dive into what is underneath the behaviors that are connected to anxiety, depression, and may lead to substance use. Applying the practice of Mindfulness-Based CBT to unlock what unhealthy thought processes is creating these limiting beliefs. Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to allow client's to identify goals and areas of life that will allow them to become "unstuck" and live an authentic life.

What you can expect from me

We all have a story and to be able to use our "voice" to speak of the story that we are telling ourselves that is not allowing us to live our authentic life. Lisa will help you look from the outside in as you foster growth, being a unique human, and embrace the process of change and transformation.
