Lisa Hood

Hello and welcome! I am a licensed mental health counselor with over 20 years experience, offering counseling to adults, children and families. My background is primarily working in educational settings with children and families, but am excited to now be offering counseling privately. Taking the first step of seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I hope to provide a space and the needed support to assist clients with creating joy and balance in their lives and relationships.

I am a great listener and believe in supporting individuals beginning with where they are. I help facilitate healing and growth in areas where change is desired. I enjoy helping my clients navigate the many ups and downs often presented in today's world. By adjusting negative thought patterns, which affect feelings and behaviors, clients are able to make positive changes to promote healing and an improved quality of life.

My mission is to deeply listen to my client's needs in order to tailor an individual treatment plan. My goal is to meet them where they are to help elevate them to the next level in a committed yet light hearted way. My approach is holistic, integrative, and collaborative. Clients can expect to come away from sessions feeling motivated, challenged, as well as empowered.
