Great to meet you!

Lisa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (#113848) and Oregon (#T2849) and a Board Certified Health Coach. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Spiritual Depth Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and has been practicing psychotherapy for over 10 years.

Lisa is known for her heart-led, integrative approach to healing and personal growth. She blends Psychodynamic, Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Spirituality, 12-Step Recovery (when applicable), Mindfulness-Based therapy, and somatic awareness to support meaningful and lasting change. She trained as a Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapist at the Center for Mindful Living, where self-compassion and present-moment awareness became foundational pillars of her work.

Lisa is also a certified HeartMath® Practitioner, integrating evidence-based techniques that help clients achieve heart-brain coherence—a state in which the heart, brain, and nervous system function in harmony. Using practical tools, biofeedback, and guided exercises, she helps clients regulate stress, increase emotional resilience, improve clarity and decision-making, and cultivate a deeper sense of calm, connection, and well-being.

In addition to her clinical work,

Lisa has extensive experience working in drug and alcohol treatment facilities, supporting individuals in recovery and building meaningful sober lives. She also completed professional training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (accredited by Columbia University Teacher’s College), where she became a Board Certified Health Coach. Her work takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and well-being, integrating mind, body, and spirit while exploring how family, community, and culture shape beliefs, values, choices, and behavior.

My approach to therapy

Lisa has a warm and friendly approach which provides a safe space for you to explore your deepest emotions and uncover the truth of your soul. She looks for the unconscious material in the room and guides you toward meaningful change. This may require her to be more direct and point out any resistance that may be getting in the way of your healing. In all, she will walk with you in your journey.

What you can expect from me

You will come to know your truth and learn how to practice honoring it as well as love and advocate for yourself in a new way. You will learn how to identify the pos/neg thoughts that impact your feelings and your behavior. You will learn how to practice self-compassion and positive self-talk; set healthy boundaries; improve communication skills and achieve your therapy goals.
