Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, personality disorders, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I earned my bachelor's in arts for Psychology at Plymouth State University and moved on to earn my Master's of Science in Clinical Mental Health at Plymouth State University as well. I have worked in the field at a local community mental health program for six years. I am passionate about helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and tailored to each client's needs. I draw from:

  • Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for identifying and restructuring unhelpful thoughts and behaviors
  • Trauma informed and attachment-based frameworks
  • Skills based and solution focused strategies

I work especially well with individuals who:

  • Feel emotionally reactive or overwhelmed
  • Struggle with impulsivity or relationship instability
  • Experience chronic self-criticism or shame
  • Want practical tools alongside deeper insight

I believe change happens when insight and skill building come together.

What you can expect from me

The first session is primarily about getting to know you and you getting to know me and understanding what brings you to therapy.

We will:

  • Review your history and current concerns
  • Clarify your goals
  • Discuss what has and hasn't worked in the past
  • Go over confidentiality and practice policies
  • Begin identifying initial strategies or next steps

You can expect a structured but conversational space. You do not need to have everything figured out. It is Okay if you feel nervous, that is very common. My goal in the first session is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction.
