Great to meet you!

Get what you need! That is my philosophy! I am pleased to hold space for individuals that is warm, relaxing, neutral, and intentional. My goal is for clients to explore who they are, process as they need to, and become empowered to change as they see fit. With over 20 years of Social Work practice and experience, a few of my specific treatment areas include individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease, Survivors of Intimate Partner Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, and Stress.

My approach to therapy

I meet clients where they are. I like to incorporate their personality in their therapeutic plan. I also incorporate various evidence based practices that enable clients to challenge negative thinking patterns, offer the opportunity to engage in self reflection, and that promote and nurture growth.

What you can expect from me

During an initial session, client's can expect to be asked or encouraged to share a little about themselves, something that doesn't necessarily involve the reason they are seeking counseling. The goal is for me to begin to build a rapport with my clients based on who they are and not by what their problem or current stressors in life may be. Rest assure, in return, I will share a little about myself as well. My intention is to create a safe and trusting environment for my clients that feels warm, welcoming, and genuine.
