I am a dually licensed clinician in Florida and North Carolina. I have experience in working with individuals struggling with life's obstacles, unresolved issues, and barriers, that are preventing them from living their best life. I have experience with those who are battling chemical dependency, and found that chemical dependency is often at the heart of anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, trauma, low self esteem, codependency, and relationship issues, as well as grief and loss.
I use a collaborative approach in helping my clients become who they truly are and creating the life they have always wanted. I use several different approaches to therapy, my favorite being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), because I believe that low self-esteem is at the core of many of our behaviors, and how people think about themselves is how they behave. I also use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which includes the importance of mindfulness in our lives.
Having faced many of life’s challenges, I often draw from my own experiences and education, as well as various therapeutic techniques and interventions that are specifically tailored to meet the needs of each of my clients. I am supportive, yet direct. I am compassionate, empathetic and create a non-judgemental atmosphere, providing each client with a safe space to openly work on and address the barriers in their life that are causing them distress, pain, and suffering.
