Great to meet you!

I am a licensed counselor with a PhD in psychology and 20+ years of experience working with adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, dissociation, and substance abuse. My experience includes private practice, outpatient hospital, partial hospitalization for addictions, and residential treatment for adolescents. Equally important, however, is that my work has been shaped by my own life experiences. From raising a family to earlier years working as a doula, these experiences have deepened my appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and continue to inform the way I approach therapy today.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative and tailored to each person rather than centered on a single method. Therapy may include traditional talk therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, EMDR, guided imagery, and body-based or somatic approaches. Some people benefit most from talking and making sense of their experiences, while others find that experiential approaches help them reach feelings or patterns that are difficult to access through words alone. Together, we discover what is most helpful for you.

What you can expect from me

Because each person’s history, strengths, and goals are unique, so too is their journey toward healing and self-discovery. I see my role as accompanying you on that journey, helping you understand what you encounter along the way and find your own path through the challenges, changes, and possibilities that emerge. What you will experience in our first session is that I am focused on getting to know you. Leading with compassion and curiosity, I listen to your story with empathy as I get to know more about you, what you are struggling with and to help you feel heard, and comfortable, and hopeful.
