Great to meet you!

My experience as a child of divorce was the impetus for me becoming a mental health provider. After pursuing a graduate degree in counseling and working in a variety of clinical settings, I gained a fuller understanding of how therapy can accelerate the healing process and lead to deeper personal growth. This has allowed me to create a very nurturing, safe space for clients.

My approach to therapy

I work virtually with children (ages 10 & older), teens and young adults and also in person in Catonsville, MD. When working with minors from divorced families, I require both parents to give consent. I like to use a variety of helping aids (e.g. books, role playing, games, etc.) to help children share and have fun during therapy. I incorporate a variety of approaches including CBT, solution-focused and strengths-based practices. I also offer faith-based counseling for those interested.

What you can expect from me

I equip children, teens and young adults with the tools, knowledge and life skills they need to grow. I also welcome working with parents so children’s gains are maximized. Most of my clients experience positive shifts (e.g. improved mood, better communication with parents, increased assertiveness, etc.) within a short time frame.
