Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in WA, OR, FL & CA with 25 + years of experience including research, leadership, training, and direct care in a variety of settings with children, families, couples, and individuals throughout their life cycle. I earned my BS from the University of Minnesota and MSW at Portland State University. I come with a background of Family Systems and understand how where you came from helps translate into who you are today.
Operating from a lens that every person is unique, with no “one size fits all” approach, I utilize Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and aspects of many other evidence based approaches. More than focusing on specific theory, I am oriented towards collaborative efforts, finding out together what modality works and building on that
I think it is important to dedicate time in the beginning of our work and ongoing to developing goals and revisiting them to ensure we are on the right track and making the most of our time together. I believe in and work from a Client Feedback Informed Treatment model and Outcomes Based Care, both of which highly prize the alliance between myself and my client, and cultivating safety, openness, and confidentiality for full transparency.
