Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Lynnette. I’m a therapist and addictions counselor, and I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale, be yourself, and talk openly without judgment.

I know that reaching out for help isn’t always easy. Sometimes you’re overwhelmed, stuck, trying to make sense of what happened, or simply tired of trying to figure everything out on your own. Wherever you are in that process, I’m here to meet you there.

After many years working with individuals and families in both clinical and community settings, I’ve learned that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all answer. You are the expert on your life. My role is to help you uncover your strengths, find your footing, and move toward the life you want.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. We can start exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, honest, and practical. I’ll listen, ask questions, help you understand what’s really going on, and work alongside you to find tools and strategies that actually fit your life. I work with people navigating mental health challenges, substance use, trauma, difficult life transitions, and those moments when life just feels like too much.

I am currently fully licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico and hold licensure as a Licensed Addictions Counselor in Colorado.

I am trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I have assisted a number of clients in overcoming insomnia through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and am trained in assisting people in overcoming trauma through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping will change, and what’s been happening in your life. I’ll ask questions, but you don’t need to have the “right” answers or tell your entire life story all at once.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable and heard. We’ll talk about what you need from therapy and begin figuring out together what approach feels right for you.

You set the pace. There’s no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to talk about. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling a little more understood, a little more hopeful, and with a sense that you don’t have to navigate everything on your own.
