Great to meet you!

Choosing to engage in therapy can be both challenging and transformative, and successful therapy relies on a professional and trusting relationship between client and therapist. I believe that we all possess strengths, but sometimes we are less aware of those. My intention as a therapist is to identify and celebrate those strengths as we address areas for growth and embrace change. With a variety of experience both in individual therapy and emergency psychiatry, I enjoy collaborating with clients as they navigate various challenges.

My approach to therapy

My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and self-actualization. I draw from a range of therapeutic techniques, with a focus on Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I strive to create a safe and open space for you to grow and heal. I allow you to lead the way in finding the best path forward for you at the present moment.

What you can expect from me

I see the first session as an opportunity to get to know you, understand your goals, and gain insight into how we can best work together. We’ll talk about your mental health history, your past therapy experience, and what helped to bring you to therapy now. I like to leave it open for you to engage as you feel comfortable and we begin to form a therapeutic relationship.
