Dr. Mahesh Kumar

I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatrist who began my career at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, and provided care in psychiatric centers via CentraCare Health Systems. I later joined Summit Behavioral Health where I treated comorbid substance use and mental health disorders. In 2021, I joined Laurel Ridge Treatment Center in San Antonio, focusing on chronic mental health conditions in behavioral ICUs. I also provide outpatient care through telehealth, managing a variety of psychiatric disorders.

My approach to providing care is rooted in comprehensive, patient-centered treatment. I focus on understanding the unique needs of each patient, particularly when managing complex cases involving both mental health conditions and substance use disorders. I emphasize collaborative, individualized care plans that address both immediate concerns and long-term recovery goals. I believe in using a multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best outcomes.
