Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Malayah! I’m a LCSW with over six years of experience helping adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, military service members, veterans, and civilians navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported without judgment.

I have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, emotional regulation, and interpersonal challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, where we work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck while building practical skills that help you move forward.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, interpersonal therapy, and supportive therapy. Whether you’re processing difficult experiences, strengthening relationships, or simply trying to become the healthiest version of yourself, I’m here to help you build insight, resilience, and lasting change.

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable enough to be your authentic self. My approach is warm, supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I strive to create an environment where you feel genuinely heard while also feeling challenged to grow at a pace that feels right for you.

I take a trauma-informed approach to treatment and recognize that many of our current thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns are shaped by past experiences. Together, we’ll work to understand those patterns, process what you’ve been through, and develop practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence.

I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs by integrating evidence-based approaches. Whether you’re working through trauma, navigating relationship difficulties, managing anxiety or depression, or adjusting to a major life transition, my goal is to help you build insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I believe healing isn’t about becoming someone different; it’s about helping you reconnect with the version of yourself that feels most authentic, capable, and fulfilled.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is all about getting to know you; not just your challenges, but who you are as a person. My priority is creating a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

During our first appointment, we’ll begin with a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment to better understand your background, current concerns, strengths, and the factors that have shaped your experiences. We’ll spend time building rapport, discussing what brings you to therapy, and clarifying what you’re hoping to gain from our work together, including the role you’d like me to play in your healing journey.

We’ll also begin identifying meaningful, realistic goals using a collaborative approach, so your treatment is personalized to what matters most to you. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clearer direction for the work we’ll do together.
