Great to meet you!

Sometimes life can look fine from the outside while you’re struggling underneath. You may be trying to keep up with work, relationships, parenting, or everyday responsibilities while anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, addiction, or difficult experiences with food and body image are taking up more space than you want them to. You may also be navigating motherhood, relationship challenges, or the impact of race and identity on your emotional well-being. I’m a Licensed Therapist with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College and a BSW, and I provide telehealth therapy for clients across NY, TX, NJ, PA, NC, AL, IN, FL, SC, and GA. I work with individuals through complex and deeply personal challenges, creating a space where you can feel understood without having to minimize, explain away, or apologize for what you’re experiencing.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what’s happening while still feeling hopeful about what can change. My approach is empathic, collaborative, empowering, and grounded in cultural humility. I tailor our work to you rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all formula. Together, we’ll make sense of the patterns affecting your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors, then build practical ways to respond differently. Depending on your needs, we may work on managing anxiety and intense emotions, changing unhelpful thought patterns, processing traumatic experiences, strengthening relationships, navigating recovery, or developing a healthier relationship with food and your body. My work incorporates evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, CPT, PE, and IFS, along with person-centered and trauma-informed care. I also use a Health at Every Size perspective that supports body respect and wellness without judgment or shame.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, particularly when you’re sharing parts of your life that you may not have felt comfortable discussing before. Our first session is a chance to slow down, get to know one another, and talk openly about what has brought you here. I’ll listen to your story, learn what you’ve been experiencing and what you want to change, and answer any questions you have about working together. From there, we’ll begin identifying goals and creating a treatment plan that feels personalized, realistic, and meaningful to you. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, respected, and hopeful that things can be different. If you’re ready to take the next step, visit my profile to schedule a session or reach out for a free 15-minute consultation. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
