Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) in the state of North Carolina. I have earned a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mount Olive. My clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, Bi-polar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, trauma, and family dynamics. I have 13 years of experience working with the substance abuse population.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize and shift unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, and Solution-Focused Therapy to highlight strengths and foster practical, goal-oriented progress. I also incorporate Existential Therapy to support clients in exploring identity, purpose, values, and personal responsibility, especially during periods of transition or emotional distress.

What you can expect from me

I view the counseling relationship as a collaborative partnership. Clients are experts on their own lives, and I work alongside them to identify strengths, increase self-awareness, and create changes that align with their values. I am especially attentive to how family systems, attachment patterns, and environmental factors impact mental health and recovery. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, understood, and equipped with tools they can use both in and beyond the therapy space.
