Great to meet you!
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at UNC Chapel Hill, then went on to earn my Master's of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago with a specific focus on direct practice and mental health.
I believe connection and vulnerability take courage. Life is hard. Through the power of sharing your story with myself as a passenger in your journey, we can make life feel less like you are losing the battle and more like you are the hero in your own story.
I am passionate about empowering and collaborating with my clients to build their most fulfilling life through increasing insight and mindful awareness into their emotional wounds and lived experience, to grow self-love and acceptance, and build relationships that are healthy and affirming.
I believe that we are all equipped with an inner guidance system that pushes us to grow anytime we are out of alignment with our highest selves. Oftentimes, this guidance comes in the form of pain or emotional discomfort. Many of us identify this pain as depression or anxiety symptoms, feelings of inadequacy, low self-esteem, grief, anger, fear, or hopelessness. The ways in which we respond to our pain has tremendous implications for future healing and overall quality of life. Action is necessary in order to create change.
