Great to meet you!

People often describe me as approachable and easy to talk to, even if they don’t know me well. I believe this is a natural trait that comes through in counseling. I’m genuine and a bit playful, honest but always respectful. I truly enjoy connecting with others, and being a counselor feels like my true calling in life.

Having overcome intense poverty and trauma, I’ve faced many challenges along the way. One important lesson I’ve learned is that obstacles and hardships are inevitable for everyone at some point in life, no matter who they are.

We all have inherent qualities and strengths that help protect us and move us forward during life’s storms. However, we sometimes need guidance to recognize and use those parts of ourselves.

I feel my personal journey has given me a deep awareness of those inner strengths. Together with my clients, I work to uncover the authentic self, embracing both strengths and flaws, and finding what truly works instead of repeating what doesn’t. By focusing on attachment theory and incorporating eclectic and wellness-centered approaches, I help clients tap into their natural strengths to reach a place of self-determination and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach, rooted in attachment theory, is essential for fostering a positive self-image and identity. Many challenges we face originate from early childhood or ongoing stressors, leaving lasting impacts on our minds and bodies. The good news is that healing is a choice available to those who seek it.

I focus on addressing the inner wounds that trouble the mind and spirit, helping clients overcome barriers that prevent them from pursuing the life they desire. Embracing the wellness model, I work with the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. For those who find comfort in faith, I also provide faith-based counseling as part of my practice. My approach is tailored to meet each client's unique needs and circumstances.

What you can expect from me

I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us determine if we’re a good fit for one another. Building a trusting and intimate therapeutic relationship is crucial, and finding the right counselor plays a big role in achieving your goals. The first session is important as it sets the tone for the journey we’ll take together. Whether you decide to work with me or feel another counselor’s style suits you better, the key is to keep searching until you find the right person. You’re worth the effort. Thank you for visiting my page.
