Great to meet you!

Life inherently involves some degree of stress, suffering, adversity, and imperfection. Sometimes, life may seem to hold more challenges than comforts. Although uncomfortable, certain distress is a natural, unavoidable part of life and the instinct to seek relief is human nature. However, attempting to escape distress superficially with temporary, artificial escapes like drugs, alcohol, and unhealthy vices may, for some, unfortunately lead to chaos, perpetual dissatisfaction, and pain. I seek to help you trade 'artificial escapes' for sustainable tools and to empower you to reclaim your autonomy by navigating a difficult world with resilience and insight.

My approach to therapy

I recognize that mental health doesn't exist in a vacuum, so I practice through an intersectional lens, acknowledging that systemic inequalities mean life is not a level playing field. We are each a sum of our experiences, identities, beliefs, and perspectives. I recognize how your unique identities and societal expectations shape your mental well-being. While life may not be fair, you are not powerless.

My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I combine empathy with a willingness to challenge you—specifically when your behaviors fall out of alignment with your core values.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we start by mapping out a holistic view of your wellness. I believe that true progress happens when we intentionally care for all dimensions of our life—emotional, physical, vocational, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and financial. We will look at where your resilience is being strained and identify your strengths.

You won't leave our sessions with just 'talk'; you will walk away with practical at-home challenges designed to foster whole-person wellness. I believe in celebrating even the smallest steps forward, as they provide the hope that fuels the momentum for lasting change. Above all, I want you to leave each session feeling genuinely empowered and supported, knowing that you don't have to navigate the 'circus of life' alone."
