Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) based in North Carolina. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable taking the next step toward better mental health.

My background in emergency department nursing across North Carolina has given me valuable experience recognizing and responding to acute psychiatric emergencies and supporting individuals through mental health crises. Combined with my counseling background, this experience shapes my compassionate, collaborative approach to understanding your concerns and helping you navigate difficult moments. To expand my ability to provide ongoing psychiatric care, I completed my specialized PMHNP training in early 2026.

I help adults and children manage anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, and major life transitions. Through evidence-based psychiatric evaluations and personalized medication management, we will work together to develop a treatment plan that reflects your needs, preferences, and goals. Whether you are facing a particularly challenging time or seeking ongoing support, you do not have to navigate your mental health journey alone.

My approach to therapy

My care style is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in practical support. Having worked extensively in emergency medicine, I understand how overwhelming mental health struggles can feel, and I bring a calm, non-judgmental presence to every session.

I believe that effective psychiatric care is never one-size-fits-all. I take a holistic approach that balances modern medication management with active listening, lifestyle considerations, and supportive guidance. We will work together as a team to create a realistic, personalized treatment plan that fits your daily life and respects your preferences.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a dedicated space for us to get to know each other without pressure or rush. We will cover your background, current challenges, medical history, and what you hope to achieve through care.

You can expect a welcoming, safe, and open environment where your experiences are validated. By the end of our initial consultation, we will map out clear next steps together—whether that involves starting or adjusting medication, establishing routine check-ins, or introducing practical strategies to help you feel supported immediately. My main focus is ensuring you feel heard, empowered, and confident in your path forward.
