Great to meet you!

Are you feeling stressed or anxious? Are you struggling with depression, emotional pain, trauma, or a life transition and would like to talk to a professional? I am here to support you through this journey.

Hello. My name is Marian Bland. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been a board-approved social work supervisor for 25 years. I have 35 years of professional experience supporting individuals who have mental health, co-occurring (mental health and substance use), and trauma-related disorders.

I have expertise in working with individuals with mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders, relational issues, histories of trauma, and those experiencing a crisis. I have worked in diverse settings: the community, in an inpatient setting, and in senior management.

My approach to therapy

I utilize a person-centered, strength-based, and collaborative approach that integrates evidence-based practices. I am committed to equipping individuals with practical life skills, emotional resilience, and healthy coping strategies that foster personal growth and wellness.

I am warm-spirited, compassionate, and a good listener.

My goal is to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where you are treated with dignity and respect, and your uniqueness is valued. It is important to me that you feel comfortable, are open to sharing, and communicate with me during our therapeutic relationship.

What you can expect from me

My goal during our first sessions is to create a friendly, welcoming environment so you are comfortable sharing your experiences that led you to seek help. We will start with an introductory session where you will have an opportunity to share your story and describe what you hope to achieve in therapy. I will provide a brief introduction about myself and the services available, and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions.

From there, as partners, we will develop a plan to reach your desired goals and develop strategies to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
