My name is Marian Horton; I am a seasoned clinical social worker. I am skilled across many different cultures. I am trained in trauma, marriage and relationship therapy, women's issues, mental health in the areas of depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, and coaching in the areas of career and relationships. I am a graduate of Howard University School of Social Work.
My approach is an eclectic one depending on the needs of the client(s). I use several different approaches.
Cognitive Behavior, Strength Based Therapy, Psychoeducational Family Therapy, Behavior Couples Therapy, Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavior Therapy based on the needs of a client(s).
In my initial session with a client, it is a two-way assessment. We get to know each other and the client has a choice in whether they want to work with me. I like to explore the issues and what outcome the client(s) are seeking.
