Great to meet you!

Everyone has a personal story and the narrative of their life can change over time. I use Solution-Focused and Narrative modalities when working with my clients. I believe the stories we tell ourselves can either propel us toward solutions or keep us stuck in the problem. My approach is to allow my clients to tell me what their needs are, rather than assuming the position of expert in their lives. My goal is to help clients discover and create a new narrative of hope, healing, and growth.

My approach to therapy

My name is Marie Francis, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I specialize in relationship counseling, managing depression and anxiety, and providing compassionate, unbiased guidance to my clients. I greet my clients in the spirit of non-judgment, cultural sensitivity, and curiosity. Your story is what has brought you to therapy. I will remain attentive to your needs, and listen to you with no judgment and cultural sensitivity.

What you can expect from me

I hope my clients take away coping mechanisms and a feeling of movement toward a solution. In other words, HOPE. It is vital that when you leave your session, you feel better than when you came in.
