Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most challenging moments. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Norfolk State University and my Master of Social Work from Delaware State University. My professional background includes family therapy, medical and trauma social work, crisis support, and care coordination.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, burnout, and major life transitions. I am especially committed to providing culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming care that recognizes how family, community, culture, and broader social pressures can affect emotional well-being.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we will identify patterns, build practical coping skills, and create realistic goals that help you feel more confident, supported, and in control. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and do meaningful work without judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, honest, and direct. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can have the difficult conversations that are often necessary for meaningful growth. I believe therapy should offer both support and thoughtful challenge not simply tell you what you want to hear.

Rather than giving you answers, I will ask intentional questions, help you recognize patterns, and encourage you to explore the thoughts, experiences, and choices shaping your life. Together, we will work toward solutions that feel authentic and sustainable for you. My goal is to help you develop greater insight, trust your own judgment, and leave therapy feeling more confident in your ability to navigate life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. Just as I am learning about your needs and goals, this is also your space to decide whether my personality, communication style, and approach feel right for you. Finding the right therapist matters, and I welcome your questions and honest feedback throughout the process.

I will invite you to share what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you hope will change at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will begin identifying your goals, strengths, challenges, and any patterns you would like to better understand.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, gain some clarity about what you would like to work toward, and have a better sense of whether you would feel comfortable continuing our work together.
