Great to meet you!

Hello, My name is Marika' D. I am licensed as an independent clinical social worker (LISW-CP) in South Carolina and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Nevada and North Carolina. I focus on the following areas: anxiety, depression, relationships, stress, family dynamics/issues, parenting, life stress, job related stress, education, coping skills/strategies, organization, adjustment, etc. I desire to utilize a strengths-based and empowerment perspective to help patients feel like active participants in the therapeutic process. I am also comfortable incorporating Christian/faith-based principles if desired.

My approach to therapy

During session, I like to have open communication. I want the patient to feel like an active participant. I encourage input and questions as well as will allow them to lead the session if desired. We work together as a team to help achieve desired outcomes.

What you can expect from me

I believe that therapy is a calling, as I desire to help empower people to make better decisions for themselves without fear of stress, anxiety, or other mental health conditions causing immeasurable distress. My goal is to have patients feel heard and valued.
