Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Adelphi University and have worked with clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and relationship challenges. I also have experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients and providing a welcoming, affirming space for people from diverse backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and focused on meeting you where you are. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself without judgment. Together, we will explore what is happening in your life, understand patterns that may be getting in the way, and identify practical ways to create meaningful change. I recognize that there is no single approach that works for everyone. I tailor therapy to your individual needs, goals, and experiences, and draw from approaches such as EMDR, DBT, IFS, and solution-focused therapies.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an intake session, so it is more structured than future sessions. I will spend time getting to know you, learning about your history and what brings you to therapy, and identifying the areas where you would like support. We will then work together to create a treatment plan based on your needs and goals. After the first session, our sessions are more flexible. You can bring in the things that are happening in your life and the topics you would like to work through. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you can work through what is important to you at your own pace.
