Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical counselor who approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I believe meaningful change grows from an authentic therapeutic relationship, and I work collaboratively to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported in bringing their full selves into the room.

My clinical style is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I specialize in working with adults navigating trauma, grief, identity exploration, LGBTQIA+ experiences, relational challenges, and periods of significant transition. I am committed to honoring each client’s strengths, values, and culture while helping them develop insight, skills, and pathways toward healing.

In my work, I draw from both professional expertise and a long-standing dedication to community mental health. I strive to bring steadiness, clarity, and compassion to every session, walking alongside clients as they move toward relief, resilience, and deeper self-understanding.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy as a collaborative, relational process grounded in respect, curiosity, and meaningful connection. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I work alongside you to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, steady, and genuinely supportive.

My work is guided by evidence-based practices, but I tailor treatment to each individual rather than relying on a single method. I begin by developing a clear clinical understanding of your experiences—emotionally, relationally, and within the broader systems that shape your life. This framework helps us identify what’s driving current patterns and choose interventions that are both effective and affirming.

Above all, I view therapy as a whole-person process. I pay close attention to the interplay between your identity, relationships, environment, and strengths, ensuring our work together supports not just the reduction of symptoms but the expansion of insight, resilience, and overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

The first session is our opportunity to really get to know one another. I’ll spend time learning about you, your history, and what brought you to therapy. You can also get a sense of my style and determine whether it feels like a good fit to work together.

I’ll ask a lot of questions—not to interrogate, but to begin building a psychological conceptualization of where we’re starting. This helps me understand your strengths, challenges, and the context of your life so we can identify the most helpful direction for our work together.

You can expect a mix of curiosity, compassion, and space for you to share what feels important to you. We’ll also discuss your goals for therapy, what’s been working and what hasn't, and how I can best support you going forward.

By the end of the first session, you should walk away with a sense of my approach, clarity about next steps, and reassurance that you don’t have to figure things out alone—we’re in it together.
