Hello, my name is Marita Formin, PMHNP-BC. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I earned my PMHNP degree from Walden University and have experience providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders. My goal is to help clients achieve emotional wellness, improve daily functioning, and build the skills needed to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered. I believe every individual deserves to be heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. I combine evidence-based medication management with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward meaningful goals. Together, we develop personalized treatment plans that promote healing, resilience, and long-term mental wellness.
During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment. We will discuss your concerns, symptoms, mental health history, current stressors, strengths, and treatment goals. I will complete a comprehensive psychiatric assessment and work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, understood, and empowered, with a clear plan and practical next steps to support your mental health journey.
