Great to meet you!

Reaching out for therapy takes courage, especially when you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the people who matter most. Whether you’re facing relationship struggles, anxiety, grief, or a major life transition, you don’t have to face it alone.

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and never judged. My goal is not simply to listen but to help you understand what’s keeping you stuck while providing practical tools that create lasting change.

I enjoy helping individuals, couples, and families strengthen relationships, improve communication, navigate conflict, and move toward healthier patterns. Every person and every relationship has a unique story, so I take the time to understand your experiences and tailor therapy to your specific goals.

As a husband, father, and therapist, I understand that life isn’t lived from the sidelines. Relationships take work, parenting is challenging, careers can be stressful, and life doesn’t always go according to plan. I don’t approach therapy from an ivory tower. I walk alongside my clients with honesty, compassion, and practical guidance because I’ve experienced many of life’s challenges myself.

My counseling style is straightforward, encouraging, and solution-focused. Together we’ll identify what’s preventing growth, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies you can begin using in your everyday life. My hope is that you’ll leave each session not only feeling understood, but also equipped with the tools and confidence to move forward.

Whether you’re seeking counseling for yourself, your marriage, or your family, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where meaningful change can happen. Healing doesn’t mean erasing your past—it means learning how to move forward without allowing it to define your future.

My approach to therapy

I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a trusting, collaborative relationship. My approach is straightforward, compassionate, and practical. I’ll meet you where you are, listen without judgment, and help you better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

Rather than simply talking about problems, we’ll work together to identify realistic goals and develop practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I believe lasting change happens when insight is combined with action.

I tailor therapy to each individual, couple, or family because no two people or situations are the same. Drawing from evidence-based approaches—including EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy—I create a treatment plan that fits your unique needs and goals.

Whether we’re working through relationship challenges, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe environment where you feel supported, challenged, and encouraged as you move toward lasting growth and healthier relationships.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel intimidating. Meeting someone new and talking about personal experiences isn’t easy, and it’s completely normal to feel anxious. My goal is to make the process as comfortable and welcoming as possible.

During our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know one another, reviewing your background, discussing what brought you to therapy, and talking about what you hope to accomplish. While there is some required paperwork, I do my best to keep the focus on you rather than the forms.

Together, we’ll begin identifying the goals that are most important to you and create a plan that reflects your needs, strengths, and hopes for therapy. I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and confident that we’re moving in the right direction together.
