Great to meet you!

Thank you for your interest and taking the time to get to know me as you consider beginning therapy. I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist who believes meaningful support includes a listening ear, spiritual and cultural acknowledgment, patience, and respect. At your pace, I provide insight, understanding, and a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can express your thoughts openly. Through a strong therapeutic relationship, my goal is to help you navigate feelings of overwhelm, find motivation for change, recognize your personal empowerment, build self-acceptance, focus on your inner strengths, and develop coping skills for life’s challenges. Ultimately, we will work together to build a stronger and happier you.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, and I am currently licensed to practice in the state of Michigan. My education includes a Bachelor of Social Work from Marygrove College and a Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. My experience working in the field of mental health includes 15yrs of experience at various levels of support including case management, counseling and crisis intervention. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, functional depression, disability-related concerns, trauma, life transitions, and stress.

My approach to therapy

I use a person-centered and psychodynamic approach tailored to your unique treatment needs. Some therapeutic interventions may include coping strategies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based interventions, grief therapy, trauma-informed therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. These approaches are designed to address your current concerns while offering practical tools to support your future emotional and psychological well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our initial visit, my goal is to welcome you into a supportive and comfortable space where we can begin building a positive therapeutic rapport. We will review information related to your services and discuss your current concerns so I can better understand your needs. As we progress, I will also complete assessments, which will help us explore how your concerns may be affecting you biologically, psychologically, and socially. This process will guide us in identifying your primary concerns and develop meaningful goals for treatment. It is my hope that by the end of the first session, you will feel motivated and supported as you begin this meaningful journey of healing and empowerment.
