Great to meet you!

It takes a profound amount of courage to acknowledge when life’s transitions have become too heavy to navigate alone. My own path into mental healthcare was paved by personal experience; navigating my own trauma and finding therapists who renewed my hope inspired me to offer that same light to others. I specialize in supporting young adults and trauma survivors who are working through the complex layers of anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. I feel privileged to help my clients achieve their goals and improve their lives by turning moments of vulnerability into a foundation for lasting confidence.

I believe that the most meaningful healing happens within a relationship built on active listening and calm, patient presence. My goal is to help you gain the coping skills necessary to find your footing again while honoring your unique story. When I am not in the office, I focus on my own wellness through mindfulness and staying connected to my community, which helps me show up fully for those I serve. I want my clients to feel safe and empowered during their time with me, knowing they have a partner who truly understands the weight of the journey.

My approach to therapy

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic listener. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient and provide coping skills to help work through the challenge. My approach is hands-on and highly collaborative, focusing on giving you the practical tools needed to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, and I specialize in Trauma-Focused CBT for those processing deeper past experiences. I hope that my clients will be able to positively grow while working together by creating a plan for growth that feels both empowering and achievable for their daily lives.

We will focus on "here and now" strategies that allow you to manage stress and anxiety in real-time. Depending on your specific needs, I often integrate mindfulness and meditation to help ground our sessions and improve your mind-body connection. Clients should expect to feel heard and supported throughout our time together as we identify the patterns that have kept you stuck and work to replace them with healthier alternatives.

What you can expect from me

I believe that therapy is a partnership. Together, we’ll identify and set goals that matter to you whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem or another personal objective. It is completely normal to feel nervous, so we will take it one step at a time, ensuring the process feels safe and clear before we dive into the heavy lifting. My main goal for our first hour is to listen to your story and help you identify one single, meaningful goal that we can start moving toward immediately.

By the end of this session, you’ll have a better feel for my communication style and how our partnership will work. We’ll discuss your background and what you’d like to see change, ensuring that you leave with a sense of relief and a concrete idea of what our next steps look like. Based on your unique needs, I may adapt my approach to include practices like mindfulness and meditation. Your goals and progress is my primary focus, and we will review them or change them as needed. Together, we’ll identify challenges and work on strategies to help you move forward with confidence.
